Tuggles’ Folly Bed & Breakfast is the culmination of a retirement dream for hosts Dean & Debbie Tuggle. Returning to family in Southeastern Indiana while receiving new friends and guests in their stately colonial styled, totally air-conditioned, home presents the prospect of years of enjoyment. Tuggles’ Folly comprises fifteen acres perched on a hilltop overlooking the Ohio River and luscious greenery of the surrounding Valley.

Public rooms are replete with fascinating features and eclectic treasures.  Enter the front foyer to be greeted by your first of many family antiques. A handcrafted walnut entertainment center is the focal point of the Living Room. Contents provide television, video, DVD and all types of musical preferences presented in true surround sound. Relax on sofas to the breeze of the ceiling fan in summer, or snuggle under handmade afghans next to the warmth of the stove in winter while surrounded by literary classics and Lladro sculptures.

Wake up to the aroma of your favorite coffee or hot tea brewing in the kitchen. Visit with Dean & Debbie while they prepare a full country breakfast including delectable items such as homemade biscuits & gravy, eggs to your specification, lavish fresh fruit bowl and, depending upon the season, the irresistible fried peaches. All is accomplished in the custom-built black walnut kitchen fashioned by friends and Amish craftsmen of Berne, Indiana.

Dine in Southern comfort and style in the main Dining Room or the more intimate Breakfast Room. Each provides the opportunity to visit with hosts and other guests while enjoying a leisurely breakfast reminiscent of days gone bye. No dining chair has a bad view of the hills of Kentucky to the east, or the pastures to the west where wild turkey and deer amble by at their leisure. Look to the high ledge for a presentation of Kentucky’s own, artist Russell May. Setting suns capture the vibrant hues of the antique stained glass complementing the Dining Room bay window.

If the need to stay in touch or check in at home/office is required, Tuggles’ Folly is connected via Wireless Internet throughout the entire facility.

Tuggles’ Folly Game Room provides guests the opportunity to while away the hours at cards, board games, pool or pinball. And then again, you can grab a favorite read from the extensive personal Library at your disposal. Retreat to a corner or a porch to prop up your feet and hear the river barge horns in the distance. The peace of the countryside will surround you. Alcoholic beverages are permitted at Tuggles’ Folly. Feel free to bring your own. Refrigerator space will be made available.

Take home a reminder of your stay at Tuggles’ Folly. Or do you need a gift for friend or loved one from the Pie Safe Gift Shop located in the Breakfast Room? Select from Tuggles’ Folly’s own soaps, porcelain, bears, candle lights, or hunters whimsy. Many items are available for your selection.

With spacious grounds at your disposal, ample parking is available. Out buildings can provide peace of mind to bicyclists as they house and secure bicycles during their tour or stay. Boaters are only minutes from Lighthouse Point Yacht Club or other public launching marinas and facilities. RV travelers can stop for a secure night at Tuggles’ Folly RV hookup for $30.00 per night. Power and water will be supplied; however, no pump-out facilities are available.

Note: Hosts Dean & Debbie are animal lovers. Your own pets can be accommodated in the kennel or stable of Tuggles’ Folly.  You will even find a few friendly pets in residence.
